Exercise: Messages from the Tide

As you listen to Neptune's Quiet Tide, place a journal, sketchbook, or blank sheet of paper nearby.
Begin by taking several slow breaths.
Imagine yourself sitting beside a calm ocean at twilight.
Notice the sounds of the music moving like waves.
With each inhale, imagine the tide coming in.
With each exhale, imagine the tide moving out.
As you listen, notice:
Images that arise
Colors that appear in your imagination
Feelings that drift through awareness
Memories that gently surface
Words or phrases that repeat
Do not analyze them.
Simply observe.
When the track ends, write down whatever you noticed.
You might record:
A single word
A sentence
A drawing
A symbol
A color
A feeling
Ask yourself:
"If the tide were bringing me a message, what might it be?"
Allow the answer to remain open.
There is no need to force meaning.
Sometimes the deepest wisdom arrives quietly, like a tide reaching the shore.
And sometimes simply listening is enough.
