Can You Help Me Heal? A Poem about Finding Support

I Need You to Be There for Me
I need you to be there for me,
as the sun pulls the shadows
from my heart,
its gentle warmth
like a hand on my shoulder,
a whisper in the silence
that echoes too loudly.
When the world feels heavy,
like clouds refusing to part,
I seek your presence,
a steady light,
to guide me through,
to remind me
that I am not alone
in this maze of thoughts
that twist and turn
in the corners of my mind.
Help me to heal,
like the earth mends after rain,
where every droplet nourishes
the roots of tired trees,
where life finds a way
even in the darkest of moments,
teaching me resilience
in the unfolding embrace of nature.
I need you to listen,
to hear the unsaid words
that curl in the corners
of my broken spirit,
to sift through the noise,
the clutter of doubts,
and find the melody
that still lingers within.
When the storm rages,
and the winds howl
like fears clawing at my heart,
let your voice be the calm,
the anchor amidst the chaos,
that tells me it’s alright
to feel lost,
it’s okay to shed the weight
of a thousand unshed tears.
Together, we can mend
the frayed edges
of my weary soul,
each stitch a moment shared,
each thread woven
with understanding,
with love,
with the promise of brighter days
when laughter returns,
like the dawn after a long night.
I need you to be patient,
to walk beside me
in the quiet hours,
when healing is a slow dance,
not a race,
and every step
is a victory against despair.
Let us share the silence,
the soft moments
where hope feels fragile,
as we breathe in the possibilities,
like fresh air on a new morning,
where change stirs beneath the surface,
waiting to bloom,
to break free from the confines
of yesterday’s wounds.
In your presence,
I find a refuge,
a sanctuary for fragile dreams,
where laughter mingles with tears,
and hope walks hand in hand
with sorrow,
as we journey together,
piecing together the fragments
of a once-shattered heart.
I need you to be there for me,
to remember that healing is not linear,
that sometimes it ebbs like the tide,
only to surge back stronger,
with the pull of the moon,
so let’s ride these waves,
through the highs and lows,
through the gentle whispers
and the fierce storms,
knowing that together,
we are whole,
and the journey
is just as beautiful
as the destination.
