Alone and Healing: Embracing Solitude as a Path to Inner Peace

Alone is Where I Heal Myself
Silence descends, a soft blanket,
not heavy,
but a gentle weight,
a hush that settles
on the restless parts of me.
Alone,
I shed the layers,
the expectations,
the masks I wear
for the world's appraisal.
Here, in this quiet space,
I breathe,
deep and slow,
inhaling peace,
exhaling the storm.
The walls don't judge,
the shadows don't whisper,
only the quiet hum
of my own heartbeat,
a steady drum against the silence.
Tears fall,
unashamed,
a cleansing rain
washing away the grime
of hurt and frustration.
I listen to the whispers within,
the quiet voice
of my soul,
telling its story,
unburdening itself.
I tend to my wounds,
not with bandages and ointments,
but with kindness,
with understanding,
with the balm of self-acceptance.
Slowly, gently,
I rebuild,
piece by piece,
brick by brick,
a stronger, more resilient me.
The solitude is not empty,
it is full,
overflowing with the process of healing,
a fertile ground
where growth takes root.
It's a sanctuary,
a refuge,
a place where I can simply be,
without pretense,
without performance.
Here, in this quiet solitude,
I find my center,
my strength,
my peace.
Alone,
I become whole.
And in that wholeness,
I am ready
to face the world again.
Ready, but changed.
Ready, and stronger.
Ready, and at peace.
