Phase 3 of Sacred Repair: Chiron Gong moves gently into the deeper layers of healing — the places where grief, trauma, emotional pain, survival responses, and long-held wounds often live beneath the surface of the nervous system.

This phase is not about forcing disclosure, reliving trauma, or becoming consumed by pain.

It is about learning how to meet the wound with steadiness, pacing, compassion, and choice.

For many people living with PTSD, chronic stress, grief, emotional exhaustion, military trauma, chronic pain, or nervous system overwhelm, wounds can feel all-consuming. Survival mode often teaches the body to either avoid pain completely or become trapped inside it.

Phase 3 was created to offer another possibility:

witnessing without drowning,
feeling without collapsing,
remembering without losing yourself.

Through the grounding resonance of the Chiron Gong, didgeridoo frequencies, atmospheric soundscapes, and trauma-informed listening practices, this phase supports gentle emotional processing while remaining connected to the body, the breath, and the present moment.

This phase includes:

Chiron Gong: Where You Meet Yourself
The Wound that Was Named
Holding What Wasn’t Settled
Ceremony Without Demand
Spirit Breath Through the Hollow Reed
What the Earth Already Knows
The Drum Holds, You Choose

Each piece was intentionally created to support:

emotional pacing,
nervous system regulation,
grounding during vulnerability,
self-compassion,
and repair without force.

This is not healing through overwhelm.
This is not re-traumatization disguised as transformation.

This is trauma-informed sound that honors the body’s need for choice, steadiness, and safety while approaching difficult emotional terrain.

The intention of this phase is not to erase the wound.

It is to help listeners understand they are more than the wound they carry.

Sacred Repair: Chiron Gong is available now through Julie Jewels Smoot Sound Alchemist
, where listeners can explore immersive trauma-informed sound journeys centered on grounding, nervous system restoration, deep listening, and healing without demand.

Nothing is required.

The sound listens first.

And the body is allowed to return in its own timing.

  • Liner Note — Phase 3: Meeting the Wound

There comes a point in healing where the nervous system may begin turning gently toward what has been carried for a very long time.

    Not to relive it.
Not to become consumed by it.
Not to disappear inside it again.

    But to meet it differently.

Phase 3 explores the delicate space between acknowledgment and overwhelm — the process of allowing the wound to be seen without requiring the body to return fully into survival immersion.

The sound within this phase moves with steadiness and restraint, creating space for presence without emotional flooding. The compositions are designed to support careful witnessing rather than forced excavation. Nothing here asks the listener to “go deeper” than the nervous system is prepared to safely hold.

Within trauma-informed listening, healing is not measured by how intensely someone revisits pain. The goal is not collapse, exposure, or emotional endurance. Instead, this phase honors the body’s ability to remain connected to the present while gently recognizing what has shaped it.

There is a difference between meeting the wound and becoming trapped inside it.
The nervous system deserves support, pacing, choice, and enough safety to move slowly.

Some wounds were carried in silence.
Some were survived through dissociation, hypervigilance, over-functioning, numbness, or emotional containment.
This phase honors those adaptations while creating room for the possibility that the wound no longer has to become the entire environment of the body.

Sacred Repair approaches healing through accompaniment rather than force.

Sometimes the deepest repair begins when the body realizes it can witness its pain without disappearing into it again.
Sometimes healing is the moment the wound is finally met with gentleness instead of abandonment.
