Phase 1 — Arrival & Nervous System Safety
Phase 1 — Arrival & Nervous System Safety is the opening movement of Sacred Repair: Chiron Gong, a trauma-informed sound journey created by Sound Alchemist Julie Jewels Smoot. This phase was designed from a simple but powerful understanding:
the body does not heal while bracing.
For many people living with PTSD, chronic stress, hypervigilance, chronic pain, grief, emotional overwhelm, or nervous system exhaustion, the body becomes accustomed to survival mode. Rest can feel unfamiliar. Silence can feel unsafe. Even healing spaces can sometimes feel demanding.
Phase 1 was intentionally created differently.
Through the grounding resonance of the Chiron Gong, atmospheric soundscapes, didgeridoo frequencies, and non-directive listening practices, this experience invites the nervous system into something gentler:
arrival without pressure,
presence without performance,
and safety without demand. This phase includes the tracks:
Nothing Is Required to Begin
The Room Holds You First
Before the Nervous System Decides
A Soft Place to Land in Sound
There is No Emergency Here
Safety Without Demand
Resonance of the Present
Each piece was created to support grounding, regulation, deep listening, and reconnection to the body at its own pace. There is no expectation to force emotional release, perform healing, or become anything other than human inside the sound.
This is not performance-based meditation.
This is trauma-informed sound that listens first.
Sacred Repair: Chiron Gong is available through Julie Jewels Smoot Sound Alchemist
, where listeners can explore immersive sound journeys centered on nervous system safety, grounding, regulation, and healing without force.
Nothing is required.
The sound listens first.
And the body is allowed to return in its own timing.

Phase 1: Arrival & Nervous System Safety
Every nervous system arrives carrying something.
Some arrive exhausted from constant vigilance.
Some arrive guarded, uncertain, overstimulated, disconnected, or quietly bracing for what might happen next.
Some have spent so long adapting to survival that rest itself feels unfamiliar.Phase 1 — Arrival & Nervous System Safety was created as the opening threshold into a gentler listening experience. Not a demand for immediate healing, emotional exposure, or transformation, but a gradual invitation into enough safety for the body to simply arrive.
The sound within this phase moves slowly and intentionally, allowing spaciousness rather than urgency. The compositions are designed to reduce pressure instead of adding to it. Nothing within this listening arc asks the nervous system to perform calmness, disclose pain, or process before readiness exists.
Within trauma-informed listening, safety is not assumed. It is built carefully through consent, pacing, choice, steadiness, and the absence of demand.
This phase honors the reality that many people have rarely experienced environments where they were allowed to exist without immediately being asked to explain themselves, improve themselves, or remain emotionally available to others.
The body often notices safety before the mind fully understands it.
A slower breath.
A softened jaw.
A slight reduction in vigilance.
The smallest recognition that nothing harmful is being asked of the nervous system in this moment.Phase 1 is about beginning there.
Not fixing.
Not forcing.
Simply arriving.Sometimes the first act of healing is realizing you no longer have to brace against the room.
Sometimes safety begins the moment the body understands it is finally allowed to arrive as it is.
