This summer, I have been working on my studio space. I just put in two ceiling fans and painted the outside of my studio periwinkle. I talk about how I have been playing with 8D audio. I talk about my books I have released, the songs I have released recently and play the Chiron Gong for you. Also, I share one of my poems from my book, Journey into the Sacred.

  • Facilitator Note – Trauma-Informed Gong Listening

    These recordings are designed to support gentle, non-directive listening. When facilitating with gong or sound in trauma-informed contexts, please prioritize choice, pacing, and nervous-system safety over emotional intensity or release.

    Participants may experience a wide range of responses, including rest, emotional movement, physical sensation, or neutrality. All responses are valid. Encourage listeners to engage with the sound in ways that feel manageable and self-directed, without pressure to process, share, or reach a particular outcome.

    Facilitators are encouraged to:

    • Offer clear options (eyes open or closed, seated or lying down, stepping out if needed)

    • Avoid interpretation, catharsis-focused language, or directives to “go deeper”

    • Allow silence and integration time before and after listening

    • Remind participants that they may pause, adjust, or discontinue listening at any time

    These recordings are not intended to replace medical care, psychotherapy, or clinical trauma treatment. Practitioners are responsible for using all recordings within their scope of practice, ensuring informed consent, and responding appropriately to participant needs.

    Trauma-informed listening honors the body’s intelligence. Nothing is required to happen.

    You are welcome to keep your eyes open or closed, adjust your position, or pause at any time.
    If at any point you feel overwhelmed, please return to your breath, the room, or let me know.

    There is no right way to listen and no outcome you are expected to reach.
    Your body and nervous system set the pace.

    You may notice sensations, emotions, or thoughts—or none at all.
    All responses are valid.
    Nothing is required. Let the sound support you where you are today.

    Before we begin, a gentle reminder:
    This is a space for listening, not fixing or pushing anything to happen.

    You’re invited to listen in whatever way feels most supportive—eyes open or closed, seated or lying down, staying or stepping out if needed.
    There is no right way to experience this sound.

    If sensations, emotions, or thoughts arise, you’re welcome to notice them—or simply return to the sound or your breath.
    Everything is optional. Your body sets the pace.

    Nothing is required.
    Let the listening meet you where you are.

  • Chiron Gong Meditation — Remembering Wholeness

    Begin by settling into a position that feels supportive for your body.
    There is no need to adjust anything unless your body asks.

    Let your attention gently arrive where you are.
    Notice the contact beneath you.
    Notice the space around you.

    You don’t need to change your breath.
    Simply allow it to move in its own rhythm.

    As the Chiron Gong begins, let the sound meet you rather than reaching for it.
    You are not required to listen closely.
    You are not required to understand.

    Chiron reminds us that healing does not come from fixing what is broken,
    but from staying present with what has been held for a long time.

    If sensations arise—warmth, vibration, emotion, stillness—
    see if they can be allowed without naming or moving them along.

    If nothing arises, that is also welcome.

    The sound may feel like movement, or like rest.
    It may come forward, then fade into the background.
    Let it do so.

    If your attention drifts, gently return to the sound,
    or to the place where your body feels most supported.

    There is no story you need to revisit.
    No memory you need to enter.
    The gong works beneath words.

    With each wave of sound, imagine space being created—
    not to erase what has been carried,
    but to give it room to soften.

    You are allowed to stay exactly where you are in this moment.

    If emotions appear, you do not need to follow them.
    If stillness appears, you do not need to deepen it.

    Chiron teaches that wholeness was never lost—
    only covered.

    Let the sound pass through you
    like wind through an open landscape.
    Nothing held.
    Nothing forced.

    As the gong begins to quiet,
    notice what remains.

    Perhaps a sense of space.
    Perhaps neutrality.
    Perhaps rest.

    Take a few moments before moving.
    When you are ready, allow gentle movement to return.

    You are whole.
    Nothing was required.

    0:00–3:00 | Arrival (Spoken – brief)

    Read once, slowly. No explanation.

    Purpose: Establish safety, consent, and agency.

    3:00–8:00 | Grounding Phase (Very Soft Gong)

    Voice: Silent
    Gong:

    • Single, gentle strikes

    • Long pauses between tones

    • Allow sound to fully decay

    Focus:

    • Nervous system orientation

    • Let bodies acclimate to vibration

    • Avoid rhythm or momentum

    8:00–18:00 | Opening & Layering (Soft–Moderate Gong)

    Voice (optional, once only around 10–12 min):

    “You don’t need to follow the sound.
    Let it come and go.”

    Gong:

    • Gradually introduce overlapping tones

    • Still slow, still spacious

    • No crescendos yet

    Focus:

    • Create dimensionality without pressure

    • Encourage non-verbal processing

    • Maintain unpredictability to avoid trance-forcing

    18:00–28:00 | Chiron Field (Moderate Gong, No Voice)

    Voice: Silent
    Gong:

    • Richer harmonic layering

    • Gentle waves of sound

    • Let intensity rise slightly, then fall

    Focus:

    • This is the core healing window

    • Avoid dramatic peaks

    • Stay relational, not overpowering

    If emotion arises, let the gong hold, not push.

    28:00–33:00 | Softening & Release (Decreasing Gong)

    Voice: Silent
    Gong:

    • Gradually reduce strikes

    • Longer spaces between tones

    • Allow silence to return naturally

    Focus:

    • Integration

    • Nervous system settling

    • Avoid abrupt endings

    33:00–36:00 | Silence (Full Silence)

    Voice: Silent
    Gong: Silent

    This is not “empty time.”
    This is where much of the integration happens.

    36:00–40:00 | Closing (Spoken – brief)

    Read once, softly.

    “As you begin to return, take your time.
    Notice what feels present now.
    There’s no need to name it or share it.
    When you’re ready, allow gentle movement.”

    Key Trauma-Informed Gong Principles (For the Player)

    • Fewer strikes are often more powerful than more

    • Silence is an active element—do not rush it

    • Avoid sudden loud tones, sharp rhythms, or “breakthrough moments”

    • Trust the body’s timing, not the clock

    Chiron work is about spaciousness, not intensity.

  • Clinical Therapy–Specific Facilitator Note (Chiron

    When used within clinical therapy settings, Chiron Gong listening should be framed as a regulation- and integration-supportive intervention, not as an exposure-based or cathartic modality.

    Clinicians are encouraged to:

    • Establish explicit informed consent, including the option to stop, shift posture, or remove sound at any time

    • Maintain awareness of client window of tolerance, adjusting volume, duration, or density of sound as needed

    • Use the gong to support present-moment awareness and stabilization, rather than memory retrieval or emotional processing

    • Avoid interpretations of imagery, symbolism, or emotional content unless clinically indicated and client-led

    For clients with complex trauma, dissociation, or sensory sensitivity, shorter listening intervals and increased silence may be more appropriate. Verbal processing, if used, should occur after listening and be guided by the client’s language and capacity.

    Chiron Gong sound is best integrated as a co-regulatory tool within an established therapeutic relationship, not as a stand-alone trauma treatment.
