Before the First Client: Arriving to Yourself
Before the First Client: Arriving to Yourself
Before the first session begins, there is a moment.
Often brief.
Often overlooked.A space where you shift
from your personal world
into one where you will be holding others. This transition is rarely supported.
The body may still be carrying:
- The previous day
- The morning’s demands
- Residual activation that has not yet settled
And yet, you are asked to arrive
clear, present, and attuned.
Before the First Client: Arriving to Yourself was created for this threshold.
Not as preparation.
Not as a way to “get ready.”
But as a place where you can arrive
without being asked to change anything.
This is sound without demand.
No guidance.
No expectation.
No required outcome.
You are not asked to become calm.
You are not asked to focus or center.
You are simply given space
to be where you are
before the day begins.
Designed for the start of the clinical day
Use this:
- Before your first session
- While setting up your space
- During quiet arrival in your office
- When you need a moment to land before holding others
Track Flow
- Before the Door Opens
- Arriving Without Effort
- The Body Sets the Tempo (ties beautifully to your existing language)
- Present Enough to Begin
You may listen in full or in part.
You may begin anywhere or step away at any time.
Your pace is enough.
Important Note
This work is not therapy and does not replace clinical care or supervision.
It is a supportive listening experience grounded in presence, consent, and nervous system awareness.
