After the Flare: Trauma-informed Guided Listening
After the Flare is a guided listening experience created for the moments after pain, overwhelm, sensory overload, emotional intensity, or conflict.
This is not a practice designed to calm you down, reset your nervous system, or help you “process” what just happened. There is no focus required, no breathing technique to follow, and no expectation that anything should feel better by the end.
The guidance is intentionally non-directive and consent-based, offering space without pressure. You are welcome to listen closely, let the words fade into the background, move, rest, pause, or stop at any time.
This offering honors the reality that after a flare, the body often needs room rather than instruction—and that unfinished, unsettled states do not need to be resolved in order to be supported.
Nothing needs to happen for this experience to be meaningful.
Nothing is required of you.
