The Therapist Listening Trilogy

The Therapist Listening Trilogy is a three-album collection created for therapists, counselors, social workers, psychologists, coaches, healthcare professionals, and all who spend their days holding space for others. Featuring The Space After Holding, Before the First Client, and The Body Kept the Record, this trilogy offers restorative sound experiences designed to support presence, boundaries, and nervous system care.

Each album serves a distinct purpose within the practitioner’s journey. Before the First Client provides a gentle invitation to arrive, settle, and reconnect with yourself before supporting others. The Body Kept the Record acknowledges that listening is not only a mental process but also a physical one, encouraging awareness of the ways stress and emotion can be carried in the body. The Space After Holding creates room to decompress, release the weight of the day, and transition back into your own life.

Rooted in a trauma-informed, consent-centered philosophy, these recordings do not ask you to perform, analyze, or achieve a particular outcome. Instead, they offer quiet companionship through ambient sound, allowing you to engage in whatever way feels supportive and sustainable.

Created by Sound Alchemist Julie Jewels Smoot, The Therapist Listening Trilogy recognizes that those who care for others deserve moments of care themselves. It is an invitation to pause, restore, and remember that your own well-being is an essential part of the work you do.
