I Served
I Served is a powerful musical statement about service, dignity, survival, and refusing to be erased. Releasing July 1, this album gives voice to experiences that are too often overlooked, particularly those of women veterans whose sacrifices and stories deserve to be heard.
Written in response to dismissive rhetoric and personal experiences of being devalued, I Served challenges the idea that military service can be reduced to politics or stereotypes. It stands as a reminder that every veteran's journey carries weight, complexity, and humanity.
Through emotionally resonant compositions and unwavering honesty, the album explores themes of resilience, bodily autonomy, institutional betrayal, personal boundaries, and the courage to reclaim one's own narrative. It does not seek to glorify pain but to acknowledge it, bear witness to it, and transform it into strength.
At its heart, I Served is a declaration: service matters, truth matters, and the voices of those who have endured deserve to be heard without apology. It is an invitation to listen beyond assumptions and to recognize the lived experiences behind the uniform.
This is music for veterans, survivors, advocates, and anyone who believes that honor is found not only in service, but also in the courage to speak when silence is easier.
