My Listening Philosophy
Welcome.
This is a listening-centered space created for rest, regulation, and return to self. There is no right way to be here, and nothing is expected of you.
Listening here is self-directed.
Sound is offered as an invitation, not a method.
There is no correct way to listen and no expected response.
You are welcome to begin or stop at any time.
You may listen for a few moments or for longer stretches.
You may return after long pauses or not return at all.
Sound does not ask the body to change.
It does not instruct, regulate, or resolve.
It simply exists — and your nervous system decides what, if anything, happens next.
Rest is considered participation.
Stepping away is considered participation.
Silence is considered participation.
This work does not require attention, insight, or emotional openness.
It does not measure progress or track outcomes.
Nothing needs to be completed.
Listening is not a commitment.
It is a choice that can be revised at any moment.
The recordings are designed to be met where you are — without explanation, expectation, or demand.
They do not guide.
They do not hold.
They do not pursue.
What you experience — or do not experience — is sufficient.
Nothing is required of you.
Begin Here
If you are new to this work, this is a gentle place to begin. You do not need to understand everything, listen perfectly, or force yourself into relaxation. This introduction offers a simple reflection and an entry point into trauma-informed guided listening.
Nothing is Required: A Gentle Reflection
There are moments when the body becomes exhausted from expectation.
Expectation to heal.
Expectation to perform.
Expectation to explain.
Expectation to keep carrying what was never meant to be carried alone.
This reflection is not here to ask anything from you.
You do not need to relax correctly.
You do not need to become calmer.
You do not need to force meaning from your emotions.
You do not need to “do healing” in a way that makes other people comfortable.
You are allowed to arrive exactly as you are.
Some days the nervous system feels open.
Some days it feels guarded.
Some days it feels tired of surviving.
All of those experiences are still human.
Pause for a moment and notice what is supporting you right now.
Maybe it is the chair beneath you.
Maybe it is the sound of a fan.
Maybe it is your breath moving without instruction.
Maybe it is simply the fact that you are still here.
Nothing else has to happen in this moment.
There is no demand to change your emotional state before you are worthy of rest.
You are not behind.
You are not failing.
You are not required to become softer on command.
If sound accompanies you here, let it accompany rather than direct.
If silence feels safer, let silence remain.
This space is not asking you to prove your pain, earn your belonging, or transform yourself for acceptance.
You are allowed to exist without performance.
Nothing is required of you here.
